Happy April Fool’s Day! This time of year, I hold my breath, quite literally as lines of patients come in because they are so miserable, often after thinking they have had a protracted cold. This time of year all of the worst pollens seem to be here at once:
What are the symptoms of environmental allergies, or hayfever?
If you have any of the symptoms of hayfever, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, sinusitis or your allergic asthma, eczema, or hives is flaring, isn’t it time to take care of yourself? Come in and get tested and treated! You deserve to be comfortable and sleep again!
“Where Flowers Bloom, so does Hope” but living with the pollen in the meantime is a Nightmare! A guide to using pollen.com.
First what is allergy? Allergy is an overreaction or hypersensitivity of the immune system to normally innocuous particles which we call allergies. Unfortunately, allergy is the default reaction of the immune system and calming and controlling it is more involved than triggering it, which is pretty easy.
If you have any of these symptoms (see table to your left), you likely have an allergy.
If you would like to be tested for your allergies or believe you might be a good candidate for allergy shots, Dr. Wendt and the staff at Relieve Allergy, Asthma & Hives would love to help.
